Can you work with DZYN if you already have an architect?
Begin by aligning the existing team, the project stage and the decisions still open.
Bring the team you already trust
Share who prepared the plans, their current stage, your interior-design arrangements and the scope you want DZYN to consider. An existing architect is valuable project context. The first conversation should establish fit and responsibilities, not assume the relationship must be replaced.
Identify what is fixed and what can still respond
Separate design intent and approved decisions from items still being developed. Review the site information, engineering coordination, specifications and selection status. The builder can identify questions about pricing, procurement and execution while the architect retains the responsibilities established in their agreement.
Coordinate interiors before details conflict
Cabinet layouts, lighting, materials, fixtures and transitions can affect architectural and construction details. Discuss where Hillary-led interiors add value and where another designer is already responsible. Confirm deliverables and review responsibilities rather than duplicating or leaving gaps in the work.
Agree on the communication path
Identify who answers design questions, who approves changes, who updates documents and how revised information reaches the site. Establish how costs and schedule implications are reviewed before a change is authorized. Use a shared version record so each participant works from the same information.
Prepare for a useful first conversation
Bring the current plan set, scope notes, site documents, team contacts you are authorized to share, intended investment and timeline. Ask for the next review needed to evaluate constructability and project fit. Final scope, pricing, professional responsibilities and services belong in the applicable written agreements.
